December 15 - Wakoucha Smoked Whisky
Shizuoka black tea from Mr Matsumoto's plantation. Mr Matsumoto is renowned for the extreme quality of his black teas, particularly those smoked with quality woods such as whisky barrel wood. To obtain this quality, an excellent black tea is first produced, then smoked for 8 hours with the chosen wood. The dry leaves of this tea are very beautiful and produce a clean, but already complex smoky fragrance. After infusion, the olfactory notes are powerful and frankly oriented towards peat and smoked wood. The liquor is an appetizing dark ochre.
On the palate, the flavor is clearly sweet and the creamy texture is particularly pleasant. The tasting notes are powerful and very greedy. Peat, smoky wood, iodine and ripe fruit are all present. Remarkable length on the palate rounds off this delicious tasting experience. A tea to enjoy in a cosy fireside atmosphere!

Jukro tea is a South Korean Grand Cru, renowned for its exceptional quality and refined flavours. This tea is produced in April by Yun Seok Cho at his Jukro plantation in Hadong, in the south of the country. This tea is produced entirely by hand, with a final roasting that brings out its unique chocolate notes.
Jukro, whose name can be translated as "bamboo dew", is harvested in the altitudes of Jirisan, which means "mountain of strange and wise people". Delicately oxidized and dried, the leaves develop extraordinary notes that are never forgotten. Today, this tea is so famous that it has given its name to the plantation, one of the most prestigious tea-growing regions in the world..
