This black tea "Jin Mao Hou" from the Chinese region of Fujian comes precisely from the mountain Tai Mu. It means Golden Monkey in Chinese, referring to the golden buds that reproduce the paws of monkeys by their curved shapes. According to the legend, it is in homage to these same monkeys that were trained to harvest this tea, often inaccessible from the mountains.
This is a wonderful morning tea with a bright orange liquor with notes of hot caramel, cocoa and hints of cooked fruit.
